Our story begins with three women who had a passion for helping people find jobs they loved. Lei Wang, Jo Shui, and Helena Fan were working together for a national recruiting firm years ago when one morning, they woke up to a corporate announcement saying their division would be sold! They invested years forging so many professional connections between their candidates and clients – so many wonderful seeds had been planted for success. How would they continue? They thought, “let’s start our own company!

In 2013, on $50K of our combined resources, working in our basements, living rooms, and kitchens, The Lotus Group LLC was formed. In time, we hired a solid recruiting team, secured office space, and continued developing our client base and candidate pool of skilled professionals. We have continued doing what we love – helping people find extraordinary opportunities and connecting companies with exceptional biometrics talent. We have continued to grow year over year, and years later, we are stronger than ever. We take great pride in being a women-owned and minority-owned business. In 2020, TLG was recognized as one of the 50 fastest growing women-owned businesses by the Women Presidents’ Organization, sponsored by American Express.

The lotus flower is known for its strong roots and ability to emerge into something beautiful. We chose “lotus” for our name to symbolize the new beginning in our careers and our shared vision for others. Navigating the job search process and making a big change in one’s career can be daunting and bring about insecurities or self-doubt. We thought about the countless candidates whom we had advised over the years, and taking our own advice gave us the confidence to start The Lotus Group.
